TDI Advanced Trimix - £750

The TDI Advanced Trimix Course provides the training required to competently & safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox & oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 100 m.

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards & proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases. Gas mixes used on this course will examine the use of hypoxic mixes (oxygen content with less than 16% oxygen) an TRIOX & EANX for staged decompression. In Deep Dive Centre does not exceed an END of 30m at any depth of training.

The course is normally run over 5 consecutive days (although flexibility is available upon application). A minimum of 4 training dives are required for successful completion. The course fee includes required course manual & TDI certification fees. Boat fees & gas fills are not included. As on all higher level technical courses, instructor boat fees & gas costs are shared between students.

Prerequisites

Minimum age of 18 years.
Minimum certification of TDI Normoxic Trimix (or equivalent).
100 logged dives; 25 of these logged as decompresion dives deeper than 30 m.

Equipment requirements:

Dry suit exposure protection system.
O2 clean manifolded twin set
Back gas regulators: 2 first stages, suppling an SPG, BC inflation & 2 second stages, 1 second stage must be on a 1.5 - 2m hose.
Separate suit inflation cylinder (Argon cylinder).
First stages & valves should be DIN.
Buoyancy compenstor, stream lined in design & adequate for equipment configuration, ideally with rigid backplate & single piece harness.
2 x O2 clean stage cylinder for decompression gas including 1 first stage, 1 second stage & SPG regulator configuration.
