‘Plymouth Best of Wrecks Week’ is aimed at avid wreck divers that are keen to explore amazing wrecks in clear, temperate waters around Devon and Cornwall’s stunning coastline.
The average water temperature in the summer here in Plymouth is between 16-18 degrees Celsius. The average visibility we can expect to see here in the summer is between 8-15m.
So instead of having the hassle of flying and worrying about weight allowances on planes, why not take a leisurely drive down to Plymouth? You can leave the comfort of your home on a Sunday morning to arrive by Sunday afternoon and spend the next 5 days making the most of the fantastic wrecks Plymouth has to offer! It’s so simple we don’t know why it hasn’t been done before!
So the proposed dive sites will be as follows; (although we are open to suggestions!)
1. HMT Elk (28-32m)
2. Coronation (18-22m)
3. Rose Hill (24-28m)
4. JEL (18-24m)
5. Maine (28-35m)
6. Persier (25-28m)
7. Oregon (32-35m)
8. Le Poulmic (16-18m)
Divers Decide - we'll let you choose your two favourite dive sites from the week, or two of the other amazing wreck sites that Plymouth has to offer!
The proposed dates for this week long wreck tour is Monday the 11th of July until Friday the 15th of July (2016). Other dates can also be arranged for group bookings upon request.

Ready to dive Twinset package at an unbelievable price!
Here at In Deep we have always considered our favorite piece of scuba diving equipment to be the Twinset. The Twinset allows divers to feel safe and comfortable in the water, offering complete redundancy and massive volumes of gas.
A twinset diver can easily complete charter boat days without any of the hassle of swapping cylinders between dives. The twinset also allows divers to massively reduce the amount of weight needed on their weight belt, making their time underwater as comfortable as possible. As well as all of this, the twinset provides maximum safety underwater, making it a no brainer for anyone looking to extend his or her bottom time in the water or bridge the gap in to technical diving.
As we feel so strongly about the twinset we have created a full twinset package to help divers afford the expense associated with having to buy ‘two’ of everything. It is that good that we felt the need to write a blog post about it!
What’s included in this deal?
- DTD 20kg Doughnut Wing.
- DTD 3mm stainless steel back plate complete with harness and storage pack.
- Euro 12l twinset (in yellow) with IDP Wide Bands and isolation manifold.
- Tecline V2 Ice complete twinset regulators.

As some of you may be aware, we set out to develop a brand new design of twin set bands to be the most secure and best looking bands on the market. And well … we’ve done it!!
The bands are 50% wider than conventional ‘wide bands’ meaning that the cylinders are lifted slightly further up the divers back, making shut down drills that little bit easier and smoother, without the worry of having your bands in the ‘wrong place’.
The bands have been test dived multiple times going through a rigorous trial and improvement process and they are now perfect! Made from 1.2mm thick marine grade stainless steel, your cylinders are held without a chance of moving.
The prototypes haven’t only been dived by us but also have been dived and tested by some of our customers, who have been so impressed by the security and look of the bands that they have refused to give them back!
The bands will be launched for sale very shortly, so keep an eye on this space to get your hands on the best looking bands.

Firstly we would like to congratulate our 3 newest PADI rescue divers and 4 new PADI drysuit divers, you know who you are!
After much planning and careful consideration we have now planned all of our course dates for the 2016 dive season. You can find our online calendar in the 'About' tab at the top of the page.
As most of you all know our Christmas party at The Stable on the 19th of December is now full. We have confirmed numbers of 32 people attending so it is shaping up to be night full of festive laughter and merry divers! ;)
Weather conditions recently have proven very difficult to work with and as we are so close to Christmas we have decided to call it a year, diving shall resume in the 2016.
The 2015 dive season has proven to be a very windy year on the whole but we still managed to get some cracking dives in and develop some great new divers. The dive club is still continuing to grow and the 2016 dive season is looking to be our best club year yet and with the addition of Panther to the fleet those further afield dive sites will all of a sudden become a lot more accessible. Watch this space!!
The online shop has got off to an outstanding start since its launch 2 weeks ago! If you haven't done already, make sure that you check it out. We have some new exciting brands joining In Deep Products for 2016 so keep an eye on our blog and we will be revealing the exciting news shortly!

In Deep Dive Centre is pleased to announce the name of their new Catamaran as ‘PANTHER’.
This was chosen as it truly reflects the boat’s attributes… it is black, stealthy looking, very fast and of course, a Cat-amaran! The lucky winner is Jayne Richards and we look forward to taking Jayne and her buddy diving from ‘PANTHER’ in 2016! However we have been so amazed at all your suggestions in our attempt to find the perfect name, that we have decided to make you all winners!! We would like to give all competition participants a weekend’s worth of free air or nitrox when diving from ‘PANTHER’. Furthermore if you decide to bring a buddy or your dive club we will also give them free air fills all weekend! To take advantage of this amazing offer please call us to reserve your spaces on board ‘PANTHER’ as the diary for 2016 is filling up quickly.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all again and we hope to see all of you diving with us in Plymouth next year…
