National Marine Aquarium (Plymouth) If you could never tire of looking at marine life then visit the National Marine Aquarium. It was the first aquarium in the United Kingdom to be set up solely for the purpose of education, conservation and research. It remains Britain's foremost aquarium and in the six years it has been open it has attracted over two million visitors through its doors. They are also the people behind the Scylla project. |

Plymouth Pavilions Plymouth Pavilions is the areas premier entertainment and leisure centre. The Arena presents a wide range of concerts, entertainment, comedy and sport events. The Atlantis Swimming Pool provides fun for all the family with its two water slides and jacuzzi. The Swiss Lake Ice Rink is fitted with a state-of-the-art light and disco system so the regular ice discos held here have the best sound around. |

Eden Project The Eden Project is more than 1,000,000 plants representing 5,000 species from many of the climatic zones of the world. Many of these can grow in the mild conditions of Cornwall, others need greenhouses and that is where Eden's two gigantic Biomes - the biggest conservatories in the world come in. It is located near St. Austell in Cornwall which is about 38 miles from Plymouth and makes a great day trip. |
