This course examines the theory, methods and procedures of planned stage decompression diving with a twinset and stage cylinders. The objective of this course is to train divers how to plan and conduct a standard staged decompression dive not exceeding a maximum depth of 45m. The most common equipment requirements, gear set-ups, decompression techniques and decompression mixtures (including Oxygen and Nitrox) are presented.
This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gasses containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox and/or Oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60m.
This course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gasses containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing Nitrox and/or Oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 100m.
If you are thinking about technical diving but aren't sure, DSAT Discover Tec lets you try technical diving equipment and procedures. Discover Tec experiences can also credit towards the DSAT Apprentice Tec Diver or Tec Deep Diver courses.
If you're interested in technical diving, but haven't yet met the prerequisites for the DSAT Tec Deep Diver course, you can consider enrolling in the DSAT Tec Diver Level One course. It is also a subcourse of the full DSAT Tec Deep Diver course.
The DSAT Tec Deep Diver course takes you past recreational diving and immerses you in the world of technical diving. Prerequisite: DSAT Tec Diver Level One
For the extreme diver ready to further explore the world of technical deep diving, the gas of choice is trimix. The DSAT Tec Trimix Diver course takes you to the outer edges of technical deep diving, opening the door to pristine dive sites few divers – if any – ever see. Prerequisite: Tec Deep Diver
The DIR Fundamentals course is designed to cultivate the essential techniques required by all sound diving practice, irrespective of level or environment. Functioning as a prerequisite for all other GUE classes, DIR Fundamentals performs a three-fold function within the GUE curriculum: 1) it provides the recreational diver, in whom there is no desire for further diver training, with a context in which to advance his/her basic diving skills, thereby developing more comfort, confidence, and competence in the water; and 2) it provides the diver with aspirations of more advanced diver training with the tools that will contribute to a greater likelihood of success; and 3) it provides non-GUE trained divers with a gateway into GUE training.
